LED vintage-style bulbs light up retro look

LED vintage-style bulbs are lighting up the retro look with Pagazzi Lighting, the UK’s largest specialist lighting retailer, reporting a surge in sales of LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting in the run up to this month’s phase out of halogen bulbs from the UK by an EU regulation.

Rebecca Pagan, buyer at Pagazzi, said: “LED vintage-style bulbs offer the perfect alternative for any light fitting in which the bulb is on display. These bulbs boast a stylish antique look and fit any light fitting which requires a standard incandescent bulb. And they offer a warm amber glow when lit that adds to the retro-inspired look.

Switching onto LED can offer customers cost savings. LED bulbs are highly efficient and last longer than the average traditional incandescent bulb. That means they create the same amount of light using less electricity and save on replacement costs.

“Not only do LED bulbs save you money, they are also more environmentally friendly,” said Pagan.

“LED lights give out no UV emissions and they are mercury free. They also create a cooler living environment as they don’t produce much heat, so little energy is used on anything other than light.

“There is no waiting for the light to brighten up, as with other eco-friendly bulbs, as LED bulbs turn on instantly. And with a life span of up to 25,000 hours you won’t need to replace your bulbs as often. Indeed, an LED lamp can be installed and forgotten about for up to 25 years!”

Pagazzi casts light on interior oasis

Pagazzi Lighting, the UK’s largest specialist lighting retailer, has cast a light on interior oasis – a tranquil reimagining of the classic nautical trend.

According to Laura Pagan, founder of Pagazzi, interior oasis is all about celebrating the beauty of the coast in our homes.

“In the past we've seen nautical interiors feature across the home design landscape and this trend is a nod to what's come before, but with a much more subtle and delicate vibe,” she said.

“Instead of opting for the obvious red, white and blue colour scheme full of stripes and boat-themed accessories, try a soft palette of cream and beige accented with soft hues of green or blue.

“Key colours include green, blues and whites. Accessorise with natural looking materials such as wood, rope and wicker.”

Pagazzi lights up smoky neutrals design trend

Pagazzi Lighting, the UK’s largest specialist lighting retailer, is all set to add a sense of sophistication and style to your home with Smoky Neutrals, the latest must-have design trend.

Tipped to be one of the key trends this year by interior experts, the trend for smoky neutrals gives you the freedom to accessorise and spruce up your interiors as often as you like without having to reach for the paint brushevery times because classic neutrals are the base.

Laura Pagan, founder of Pagazzi, said: “This trend is all about subtlety and refined class. Neutrals are so often overlooked when people undertake interior redesign projects, often considered boring or safe. With just a touch of smokiness and a few well-placed accent colours, a neutral colour scheme can ooze sophistication and contemporary glamour.

“Forgo the light creams, whites and beige for smokier tones of grey, brown and stone. Accent with plush suites fabricated in velvets or herringbone. Spice things up even further with your furniture – think rich, deep tones of purple or blue to bring this trend to life.”

Pagazzi advises consumers to switch to LED ahead of halogen bulb phase out

Pagazzi Lighting, the UK’s largest specialist lighting retailer, is advising consumers to make the switch to LED ahead of the forthcoming phase out of halogen bulbs.

Halogen bulbs are set to be phased out of the UK by an EU regulation from September onwards in an attempt to move the UK towards LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting. The main bulbs that are affected are halogen G9, G4, GU10, and R7.

Rebecca Pagan, buyer at Pagazzi, said: “Currently, when you buy a lighting product which takes a G9, G4, GU10 or R7 bulb there will often be ‘starter bulbs’ included with the product to help you get your new light fitting installed and ready for use. You then have the option of whether to purchase LED bulbs to use in your fitting to save energy on top of the ‘starter bulbs’ supplied with your light.

“From September 2016, these halogen bulbs will still be allowed to be sold in the UK on their own, but retailers will no longer be allowed to bring in products to the UK with these ‘starter bulbs’ included in the box.

“So, from this autumn, you cannot be guaranteed to receive the free ‘starter bulbs’ in your product, which means that you may have to buy the light bulbs for your product in addition to your light fitting.

“At this point you will have a choice of whether to buy cheaper, but less energy efficient, halogen bulbs, or slightly more expensive, but more energy efficient and longer lasting LED bulbs.”

Switching onto LED can offer customers cost savings. LED bulbs are highly efficient and last longer than the average traditional incandescent bulb. That means they create the same amount of light using less electricity and save on replacement costs.

Not only do LED bulbs save you money, they are also more environmentally friendly. LED lights give out no UV emissions and they are mercury free. They also create a cooler living environment as they don’t produce heat, so no energy is used on anything other than light.

Pagazzi identifies mismatching as latest lighting design trend

Pagazzi Lighting, the UK’s largest specialist lighting retailer, has identified mismatching ceiling pendants as one of the hottest trends in interior design that uses lighting in a fun way to create a look that catches your eye and brings life to a room.

Laura Pagan, founder of Pagazzi, said: “The pendants don’t have to be in the central point of the room; and they don’t have to match, as long as they complement each other. When selecting the perfect pendants, try not to get too caught up on making them match each other, or the other lighting in the room.

“Use this trend as an excuse to have fun and just pick styles that you like – and don’t be afraid to add a splash of colour!

“Vintage style bulbs are also very fashionable at the moment, and look fantastic in pendants. This look is the perfect way to highlight a dining table or statement piece of furniture by drawing your eye to it.”

Pagazzi showcases benefits of switching on to LED

Pagazzi Lighting, the UK’s largest specialist lighting retailer, has launched LED sections in-store to showcase the stylish attractions and cost savings that switching onto LED can offer customers.

LED bulbs are light emitting diodes that are highly efficient and last longer than the average traditional incandescent bulb. That means they create the same amount of light using less electricity and save on replacement costs.

Laura Pagan, founder of Pagazzi, said: “Not only do LED bulbs save you money, they are also more environmentally friendly. LED lights give out no UV emissions and they are mercury free. They also create a cooler living environment as they don’t produce heat, so no energy is used on anything other than light.

“There is no waiting for the light to brighten up as with other eco-friendly bulbs as LED bulbs turn on instantly. And with a life span of up to 25,000 hours you won’t need to replace your bulbs as often. Indeed, an LED lamp can be installed and forgotten about for up to 25 years!”

And whilst LED lights will reduce the cost of energy bills, they are also available a range of colour temperatures – from cool to warm white.  Use cool white in functional areas such as kitchens and bathrooms to create a daylight effect, and warm white in living areas such a sitting rooms and bedrooms for a warm and inviting room.

“LED light fittings come in many decorative designs that will add to your home interiors,” said Pagan. “Colour changing LED lights are becoming increasingly popular and are great for creating mood lighting.

“And the latest lighting trend we've all be talking about is LED lighting strips. Fun, stylish and unbelievably versatile, this latest craze is an easy way to inject some style and luxury into your home and experiment with your lighting designs.”

Pagazzi showcases benefits of switching on to LED Lighting

Pagazzi Lighting, the UK’s largest specialist lighting retailer, has launched dedicated LED sections in-store to showcase the stylish attractions and cost savings that switching onto LED can offer customers.

And whilst LED lights will reduce the cost of energy bills, they can also offer a warmer, more natural light to lend homes a cosy and relaxing atmosphere.

Pagazzi Lighting offers a one-stop shop for the best in lighting with 3,000 individual decorative lighting products on display in its retail stores.

Pagazzi Lighting, the UK’s largest specialist lighting retailer, has seen a design trend for copper light up sales at its outlets throughout the UK....

Copper Light

Laura Pagan, founder of Pagazzi, said: “Over the past year we’ve seen classic metallic finishes, such as chrome and stainless steel, take a backseat as warmer, richer metals have crept into the spotlight. Warmer and more inviting than cool steel, but less audacious than full on gold, copper is the perfect material for adding a touch of rustic glamour to living spaces.

“Copper can be incorporated into your home as much or as little as you would like to create the look and feel you’re looking for. You can combine with raw natural materials, such as leather and wood, for an old-timely feel, or place next to greys, khakis and warm blush tones for a luxurious and calming colour palette.

“And if you're ready to embrace the trend to the fullest, then the aviator inspired Muni LED ceiling pendant light copper chandelier is a must-have!

This antique finished fitting is sure to add a touch of glamour to any space in your home.”
