Ceiling Lights

Why trust Pagazzi for your Ceiling Lights?

The "Experience" Factor: What the Specs Don't Tell You

Most sites will give you a list of numbers. After 40 years on the showroom floor, here is what our team looks for when we help a customer choose:

Don't Ignore the "Shadow Trap

A common mistake we see is people choosing a beautiful, high-output flush light for a kitchen, only to realise they’re working in their own shadow. For task-heavy areas, we recommend layering. A main ceiling light in any room, should be used for an ambient fill, ensuring it is layered with lamps (table or floor), wall lights or spotlights.

IP Ratings: The Safety Truth

On several products you will see an IP Rating, if you're shopping for your bathroom then look specifically for IP44 or IP65. We’ve seen many stunning lights ruined by steam damage because they weren't rated for Zone 2 moisture, this is especially important if your lights are within 60cm of a tap or shower.

The Proportional "Pistol" Test

Not sure about the size? Here’s a trade secret our installers use: If you’re standing under the light and can reach up and touch it, it’s too low. You want a minimum clearance of 215cm (7ft) and if you have a period home, this increases to a recommended clearance of 10ft.

Pagazzi Pro Tip: A small light in a large, high-ceilinged room will look like an afterthought.

2026 Lighting Style Trends

Warmth is Winning We’re seeing a massive move away from clinical, "blue-tinted" LEDs with most of our customers now opting for 2700K to 3000K, this is classed in the industry as warm white as it makes a room feel lived-in and cozy rather than a clinic.

The rise of Brushed Brass and Smoked Glass

Trends in 2026 have change, currently, our top-performing textures are brushed brass and smoked glass, a duo that offers more than just visual depth. Unlike their polished counterparts, these matte and tinted finishes possess a natural ability to diffuse light and obscure surface smudges, perfect for navigating the chaos of a busy house.
